About

My wildlife and nature photography journey took off back in 2019 when I moved to Yosemite National Park from my home state of Texas. My first camera, a Canon EOS Rebel T5, was gifted to me by my mother in the summer of 2019. I have since upgraded to a Canon EOS Rebel T6 with a Sigma 150mm - 600mm lens that I use for most of my wildlife and nature photography today. At times I also crack out my Canon 18mm - 55mm lens. All of my work has been shot manually, and no color or lighting edits are used in my images. I try my best to capture the color schemes that my naked eye is seeing in all of my photos of the natural world. Constantly playing with different shutter speeds, iso, and aperture. Taking pictures of the wild world, its animals and plants, is something I truly enjoy. I can trace back some of my earliest wildlife photography memories to a family vacation in Yellowstone National Park in the early 2000’s. I had to be 10 or so years old using my parents old point and shoot to capture all the bison, marmots, deer, and coyotes around.

I hope my photography will encourage others to take some time to tune into the wild world that lives around us… maybe the next time we find ourselves on a walk, drive, or sitting outside. I feel as if the more we notice in nature, the more life seems to slow down, even in the chaos of our urban jungles.
